Kakegurui – Mandatory Gamblers (Japanese: 賭 ケ グ ル イ, Hepburn: Kakegurui) is a Japanese manga series written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Tōru Nomura. It began serialization in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker in March 2014, with its chapters added to fourteen tankōbon volumes by February 2021. In North America, the manga has been licensed for English-language release by Yen Press. The series has also inspired numerous side-story manga, including a prequel titled Kakegurui Twin.
The Story of Kakegurui – Mandatory Gambling takes place at Hyakkaou Private Academy, one of Japan’s most prestigious schools, where, unlike ordinary schools, hierarchy is determined by gambling. The main character is Yumeko Jabami, a transfer student with a beautiful, innocent appearance but conceals her mental illness, addiction to gambling and high-stakes situations. With a keen mind able to pierce the complex cheating methods used by the most powerful students to craft games in their favor, Yumeko threatens to destroy the twisted hierarchy of school just because of its thrill.
A TV anime adapted by MAPPA aired in Japan from July to September 2017. The second season, titled Kakegurui ××, aired from January to March 2019. The series was broadcast by Netflix. copyrighted and streamed outside of Japan. Two manga-based light novels were released by Square Enix in August 2017 and March 2019, respectively. A live-action film adaptation aired in Japan from January to March 2018, when the second season aired in April 2019. A video game adaption was released November 2018 but was inaccessible after its servers were shut down in March. 2020. An adaptation of the same actors from the film is released in May 2019.
Actually, there hasn’t been any news about Kakegurui season 3. Season 2 of the Japanese animated series has been released in 2019. Now a year has passed but neither Netflix nor MAPPA is making progress

Monsters and critics assume that MAPPA will not begin preparing for season 3 as they need to release Episode 15 of the original comic of the same name. The series closely adheres to the manga plot.
According to HITC, if the series follows a manga plot, to be released in 2-3 volumes per year, the third season could be released by the end of 2021.
Kakegurui season 1 was released in 2018, and season 2 was released in 2019. But last year due to the COVID 19 epidemic, production has not even started yet. But now there is a high chance that the results will be positive.
Kakegurui depicts the story of Yumeko Jabami, who joined the Hykakkaou Private Academy. The academy is an elite school for rich Japanese students. The academy does not focus on the real talent of students but encourages them to gamble.
Students are ranked based on their gambling expertise. The school has brainwashed students that all schools are evaluated for their financial contributions to the school. Poor students and people who are not good at gambling have financial difficulties supported by the school.
Fans are eagerly wanting season 3 to take place because the story is not yet complete. No spoiler is available. Viewers must wait for any announcements made by MAPPA. Kakegurui seasons 1 and 2 are available on Netflix Japan, Funimation, and AnimeList.
